We are currently looking for new additions to our video team. You can now apply for a position at MeinMMO to independently upload trailers from home and compose editorial texts for videos of all kinds.
MeinMMO is one of the largest gaming websites in Germany and part of the Webedia network, which also includes GameStar and GamePro. Since 2013, we have been reporting on online gaming and providing our experts to accompany the favorite games of our community. According to agof, we reach 3 million unique users every month, making us number 1 in Germany among gaming websites.
To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a freelance video author to take care of uploading trailers and writing editorial texts for our various video formats.
Who we are looking for: As a video author, you will write texts related to our growing video department at MeinMMO. Together with our video producer Anna Alberg, you will work on the scripts for our catchy videos, which are also optimized with subtitles for our mobile users, and write accompanying articles to our videos.
You have already gained experience in writing and using relevant writing tools. Additionally, you are fluent in German, both spoken and written.
Furthermore, you are knowledgeable about gaming and have a broad interest in video games and the industry, especially multiplayer and online games.
Attention: This position is intended for independent employees. It is not a permanent position.
Your Tasks:
- As an author, your main task will be to write texts for us to produce and upload videos.
- You will also carefully research information on the relevant topics and develop your own ideas and write video-appropriate texts.
- Alongside Anna, you will also write texts for our own videos – you can find an example here.
- You will also upload official trailers for games that we actively follow – you can find an example here.
- You will work closely with the MeinMMO team and discuss current topics or independently find trailers and news about games.
Your Profile:
- Experience in writing or professional experience in creative or journalistic fields. Do you have your own blog or have you already written news or reviews about games? Perfect!
- Flawless command of the German language.
- You independently research games and stay well informed.
- You regularly access platforms like YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit to stay updated.
- You can work well in a team and handle criticism.
- You have experience using writing tools like Word, Docs, etc.
- As a bonus, you have experience recording voices for videos.
