We at MeinMMO are currently looking for new members for our shooter team. You can now apply for a position with us to independently write news, analysis, guides, and specials about multiplayer shooters from home office.
What we are looking for: Anyone who wants to apply for this position should be passionate about MMO shooters of all kinds – deeper expertise in the Battlefield series would be a great advantage.
In general, you should enjoy engaging with the best weapons, the strongest builds, basic and advanced game mechanics, as well as the community in games like Destiny 2, Call of Duty, or Battlefield 2042. You should also enjoy informing your friends about the latest events in these games.
This is important to us:
- you always know what the shooter bubble on Twitter, Twitch, and Reddit is currently talking about
- you are good at explaining things to others
- you are interested in what moves the shooter community. You know who the biggest and most important streamers and YouTubers in the field of multiplayer shooters are
- you are familiar with Reddit, Twitter, and other platforms to inform yourself and hear what people are currently concerned about online shooters
- you are willing to reflect on criticism of your work, accept it, and develop further in writing
- it is advantageous if you already have experience: a personal blog, a personal streaming channel, or work for another website could fall under that. However, this is not a requirement for the position.
- you enjoy writing and have an interest in journalistic work
- you have no qualms about topics that may seem unusual at first
- you are curious about new shooters and topics surrounding this genre
We would like to fill the position as quickly and well as possible. Maybe with you.
Please note: This position is intended for self-employed individuals. It is not a permanent position.
This is your job
You will be part of our editorial team and help MeinMMO shape the reporting of the site. We welcome suggestions and input on how we can further improve the coverage in the shooter area. It is important to us that for you, the readers come first and you think about which articles are really interesting and important for our community.
We are not looking for someone for a specific game this time, but someone who can write about various multiplayer shooters – the focus is on the Battlefield series (especially the new Battlefield 2042), but knowledge in Destiny and Call of Duty would also be helpful.
Your task area:
- you write articles in the field of “multiplayer shooters” (news, analysis, opinions, community interviews)
- you independently search for exciting topics that you implement as articles. You will receive support from the editorial team
- you deal with analysis tools like Google Trends to see what the gaming community is currently really interested in. You do not need any prior knowledge here. This knowledge can be imparted to you by the editorial team
- you coordinate with the editorial team on which articles you write
- you take on assignments from the editorial team
- you receive feedback on your articles from the editorial team and implement it accordingly
- you can optionally participate in workshops that we offer in the area of online and gaming journalism
