We are currently looking for support in our authors’ team. You can now apply for a position at MeinMMO to independently write news, guides, and specials about New World from home office.
Who we are looking for: You should be well-versed in New World and enjoy sharing your knowledge about the MMO.
We will look for:
- you are always informed about what a new patch and update brings to New World.
- you enjoy engaging with the current meta and explaining it to others
- you are good at explaining things to others. Clear language is especially important for guides
- you are interested in what the community in New World is discussing after the release and what everyone is talking about
- you are familiar with reddit, Twitter, Discord, and the official forum to keep yourself informed
- you are willing to reflect on feedback regarding your work, accept it, and develop your writing skills further
- having prior experience is a plus: a personal blog, a streaming channel, or work for another website could count. However, this is not a requirement for the position.
- you enjoy writing and have an interest in journalistic work

This is the job
You will be part of our editorial team and help shape our reporting on New World. We are grateful for suggestions and input on how we can improve this. It is important to us that readers come first to you and that you consider which articles are truly interesting and important for the New World community.
The field of tasks:
- You will write articles about the MMO New World (news, guides, lists, analyses, opinions, community interviews)
- You will independently search for exciting topics that you will turn into articles. You will receive support from the editorial team
- You will work with analysis tools like Google Trends to identify what the community is currently really interested in. No prior knowledge is required. The editorial team can provide you with this knowledge
- You will coordinate with the editorial team on which articles you want to write about New World
- You will accept assignments from the editorial team on New World
- You will receive feedback from the editorial team on your articles and implement it accordingly
- You can optionally participate in workshops that we offer in the field of online and gaming journalism
Who we are
MeinMMO was founded in September 2013. Since March 2016, we have been part of Webedia Gaming. We continue to maintain an independent editorial team, most of whom work from their home offices. We draw on the resources in our headquarters in Munich, where the GameStar editorial team is also located. Both GameStar and MeinMMO and GamePro are part of the Webedia Gaming GmbH.
By now, MeinMMO reaches over 3 million unique users monthly, with a record of 3.36 million in January 2021 according to agof. Thus, the site has established itself as one of the largest German gaming websites in just a few years, alongside GameStar.de and GamePro.de.
The focus of MeinMMO is on popular service games that are developed over the years and played together online. These include titles like Call of Duty: Warzone and Cold War, World of Warcraft, The Elder Scrolls Online, New World, Final Fantasy XIV, GTA Online, Fortnite, or FIFA 21.

How many hours is the job? At least 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours. More hours are optional.
