The BlizzCon 2018 is finally here. Will you follow it live and buy a virtual ticket? Or is that way too expensive for you?
Again this year, Blizzard is hosting its own trade fair and showcasing many new features coming to its games at BlizzCon 2018. Whether it’s about World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, or StarCraft, almost every gamer can look forward to announcements for one of the games.
€40 for a promotional event: Even though BlizzCon is broadly a promotional event for Blizzard, Blizzard charges a good amount for viewing the convention. Anyone who wants to follow BlizzCon live on stream must cough up a hefty €40 – that’s €10 more than in previous years. Only then do you have access to all panels, interviews, and insights into the development of your favorite game.
Alternatively, the BlizzCon ticket can also be paid with WoW gold.
However: The so-called “Opening Ceremony”, the opening ceremony where all major announcements are presented in a quick overview, is free for everyone. It takes place today, on November 2, 2018, at 7 PM. You can therefore also decide after the introduction whether you want a ticket.
Goodies offer additional incentives: But aside from access to all streams, the virtual ticket offers even more incentives in the form of in-game rewards. For instance, players of WoW receive special toys, while Hearthstone fans receive a large amount of card packs. Additionally, this time there’s a demo access for World of Warcraft: Classic, which allows all buyers to take a look at the demo for a limited time.
