Mass Effect: Andromeda Trial: You can play now – Before launch

For those who can’t wait for the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda, you can now play the trial version on PC or Xbox One starting today. All you need is a subscription to EA Access or Origin Access.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to be a relaunch of the successful Mass Effect series by Bioware. In the distant Andromeda galaxy, Pathfinder Ryder and the rest of humanity will face new opportunities and new dangers. While the whole sci-fi fun is supposed to kick off on March 23rd here, those who wish can already test the game.

Mass Effect: Andromeda – Trial Access through EA Access and Origin Access

“Yes, I want to play Mass Effect: Andromeda right now! What do I need to do?” To play the trial version, you only need a subscription to Electronic Arts’ early access program. This is called Origin Access on PC and EA Access on Xbox One. It is a paid service that costs you €3.99 per month and allows early access to ME:A as well as various full versions and early access to other EA titles.

But be careful: You cannot just play the demo version of Mass Effect: Andromeda until the release. Rather, the whole fun is limited to 10 hours. Note: Even time spent fiddling in menus, customizing your Ryder, or idly petting your cat counts! So only boot up ME: A if you actually want to play it, as every second counts!

The story is also limited up to a certain point. After that, it’s game over. However, you can still explore the planet further and complete side missions. Your game progress will be saved at least if you buy the full version. The multiplayer part, however, should be free of restrictions.
