On August 7th, the first closed beta for Marvel’s Avengers begins. It will initially only be available for PS4 players, with other platforms following later in the month. Are you interested in the beta?
How do you get into the beta? Tomorrow the first closed beta test for Marvel’s Avengers begins, the multiplayer action game that lets you take on the roles of various Marvel heroes.
The first beta is initially aimed only at PS4 players who have pre-ordered the game. Later in August, more platforms will join, and ultimately the beta will be made available to all players, including those who did not pre-order.
Here is the exact schedule for the upcoming beta tests:
- August 7th – Start of the PS4 beta for pre-ordering players
- August 14th – Pre-order beta for PC and Xbox One, Open beta for PS4
- August 21st – Open beta for everyone
The game itself will be released on September 4, 2020.
What are the contents of the beta? During the beta, you will be able to try out various single and multiplayer contents. There will be 4 Avengers heroes playable:
- Black Widow
- Miss Marvel
- Hulk
- Iron Man
You will play the starting mission for A-Day, where the various characters can be played by you. It grants you access to additional content:
- 2 single-player hero missions
- 3 HARM rooms that serve as training and challenges
- 5 war zones that you can tackle alone with AI companions or in multiplayer with other players
- Various drop zones. There are also multiplayer contents that are more compact and faster than war zones
As you play through the contents of the beta, you will automatically strengthen your heroes. You will level them up, have access to one of the 3 skill trees, and collect armor and upgrades for them.
