The superhero action MMO Marvel Heroes 2015 is planning a re-launch as Marvel Heroes 2016. They will feature Thanos, a villain of cosmic proportions.
Marvel Heroes is currently called 2015, will soon be named 2016, and intends to rename itself every year to create points of interest. The re-launch for the 2016 add-on is still somewhat nebulous. They have now leaked some information to the US print magazine Game Informer about what the re-launch will entail:
- Thanos will come as a new opponent in his own raid
- In the Wild Land, Marvel Heroes players will enter uncharted territory in a tower defense mode
- The rankings will be redesigned to make them relevant for players who do not play excessively
- And Gazillion wants to revise older heroes so that they can visually compete with the newer models, as the level of champion design has increased over time to the point where some of the oldest heroes are simply not good enough anymore
