The first player in Overwatch has reached a 5-digit level. Is there still fun in the game at level 10,000?
Overwatch, like most games from Blizzard, can be played for a long time. After all, many fans spend not just days or months in the game worlds, but sometimes even years. This is also wonderfully possible in Overwatch, where the streamer Treeboydave has now achieved a milestone that no one had before – level 10,000.
First player with this level: The streamer Treeboydave is now the first Overwatch player worldwide to reach a five-digit account level. So far, he has spent more than 14,000 hours in Overwatch, which in pure playtime corresponds to over 580 days – more than 1 ½ years.
The display image in Overwatch, by the way, no longer changes for Treeboydave. For every 100 levels, there is a new portrait in Overwatch, where stars and colors change and become increasingly impressive. However, in the areas where Treeboydave plays, nothing has changed about the portrait for a long time – simply none have been provided that far.
By the way: Treeboydave has also set records in the past. Over a year ago, he was the first player to reach level 6,000.
12 hours of gaming despite a job: Anyone who thinks that Treeboydave fits the stereotype of an unemployed gamer is mistaken. Besides his work as a streamer, which is already extremely demanding for some, he also takes care of cleaning a restaurant.
Lootboxes no longer contain anything new: One of the “disadvantages” for Treeboydave, however, is that lootboxes have drastically lost their excitement. With 10,000 opened lootboxes, he possesses all items from the collection and can only receive duplicates. He can’t do much with the credits, as he quickly finds newly added things in new lootboxes.
Did Blizzard think that a player would ever reach such a high level?
