What is SteamCraft? In the MMO, you build a combat vehicle in a steampunk setting, equipping it with an arsenal of weapons. With this moving fortress, you fight in fast-paced battles against other players to acquire new weapons and equipment. This allows you to continuously improve your vehicle. It sounds a bit like the vehicle MMO with battle royale mode, Crossout.
The fast battles with the self-built and tuned vehicles outfitted with weapons remind one of the Mad Max movies. However, it’s not about collecting gasoline here, but rather obtaining parts to upgrade the vehicle.
- Build your personal combat machine through an interesting construction system, with which you can even battle your opponents in the air
- Over 600 components and 40 weapons are available to you

Test the Open Beta
How do you play? On the official website, you can get a key for the Steam version. You then redeem it in your Steam client, log in, and you’re already participating in the Open Beta.
How long can you play? The Open Beta will take place until February 8. The development team will then use the feedback to further improve the title.
When is the release? A specific date has not been mentioned yet. However, according to Steam, it is expected to be in February.
This is why players are still skeptical: The developers behind SteamCraft released the survival game Next Day Survival, which was plagued by numerous problems at launch. Even now, over a year after its release, the reviews on Steam are still mixed.
