The action RPG Lost Ark impresses primarily with many classes – 7 of them are known so far, with 11 more to follow.
7 Monster Slayers on Duty
In total, there will be 18 different classes when the action MMORPG Lost Ark is finally released. So far, the first seven classes can be examined. We give you a brief insight into the playstyles of the first seven heroes – who are often only represented by a single gender. Gender-lock is just normal for many games from the East.
Battle Master – fast melee fighters
The Battle Master looks like a female monk and also has their typical fighting style: Fast, devastating melee attacks and combos ensure massive damage spikes. Coupled with their high mobility, they can escape from tight situations and, in case of emergency, use their special elemental resource to unleash corresponding special abilities that bring them the final push towards victory.
Devil Hunter – Lots of weapons
The Devil Hunter is the dream of every action fan. Overall, the class has 3 different skillsets, each tied to one of the weapon sets: dual pistols, shotgun, and rifle. The abilities of the different weapon sets can be combined to trigger wild combinations and to have the best response ready depending on the distance to the enemy.
Arcana – Life is a card game
The Arcana is a character for those who enjoy random factors and never want to be entirely sure in advance what will actually happen. She is able to trigger a roulette, which will end with her receiving a random card. Using this card activates different effects. This can be a boost to her base stats, or even the exchange of a complete ability – not all effects have to be necessarily positive.
Warlord – melee tank-shooters
The Warlord is probably best categorized as “quite strange”. He swears by heavy armor, uses a shield, and wields, in the other hand – how could it be otherwise – a rifle. The various explosive bullets are his resource and are consumed when activating abilities. At least visually, they make a very imposing impression.
Infighter – the power of balance
The Infighter is also a melee fighter with powerful fists, but is otherwise much more revealing in clothing choice. She also unloads her attacks in powerful combos but does not use a mana bar like other classes; instead, she must use green and red energy for different abilities. The art will probably lie in always maintaining a certain balance between the two energies while still dealing a lot of damage.
Summoner – Endless monsters
The Summoner delivers what her name promises: she calls numerous creatures and monsters to her aid. Some stay for a certain duration and attack relentlessly, while others spells must be channeled to maintain the summon. The creatures can not only deal damage but also tank or buff the summoner. Particularly strong creatures cost “summoning orbs,” which regenerate only over time.
Berserker – Raw violence on the front
Finally, there is the Berserker, a melee fighter clad in plates, who specializes in large groups of enemies. Despite his heavy armor, his attacks are fast, devastating, and lead to large armies being overwhelmed in a matter of seconds. If that is not enough, he can switch to Berserker mode for a minute, which gives his attacks even more strength. If you enjoy plowing through the battlefield, this class is a good choice.
