The MMORPG Lost Ark brings a new class today: The Artist, in English Painter/Artist, depending on the translation. We at MeinMMO show you how to play it and what to pay attention to.
The Painter/Artist is a brand new base class in Lost Ark – The Specialist. Specialists are female, childlike-looking beings with cat ears. Accordingly, the Painter is also equipped with cat ears and looks delicate.
As a Painter, you switch between black and white ink, thereby switching from support to DPS.
By using other colors, e.g. red for damage, the Artist indicates to her group members whether she will deal damage next or support the others. Her casting times are quite long, so it is clear what she is currently doing.
This is how the Artist plays
This is the special ability of the class: While dealing damage, her identity ability charges in the form of 3 balls. You then press either Z to trigger a group buff or X to heal yourself.
With the Z ability, the Artist can trigger a buff that allows the entire group to deal 10% more damage. Additionally, she applies a debuff to your target with her skills, increasing your damage again by 10%.
With her abilities, she can protect herself and her group members with 5 different shields. This significantly reduces damage and makes her ideal for boss fights.
Furthermore, the class provides its group with speed bonuses, mana regeneration, and healing, similar to the Bard.
In addition to support, shields, more damage, and general DPS attacks, the Artist has another special feature: She can create portals that teleport you to her location. This is useful in boss fights, as the Painter can already leave the danger zone and bring her DPS comrades back with a portal. This has the advantage that damage classes can continue to deal damage to the boss until the last second instead of fleeing from dangerous mechanics.

The Artist in Endgame
From level 50 onwards, you enter the endgame of Lost Ark and use dungeons and raids to improve your equipment. Most players then choose a support build for the Artist.
Which engraving should I use? To play as support, you choose the class engraving “Full Bloom”. This adds an AoE healing field to your healing ability “Sunrise”.
What other engravings should I use? Additionally, the combat engraving “Awakening” is worth it, as it reduces your cooldowns. This also affects your identity, allowing you to use Sunrise faster again.
Furthermore, Expert, Drops of Ether, Vital Point Hit, Heavy Armor, or Explosive Expert are also worthwhile, depending on what you want to focus on. You can read more about it at Maxroll.

Which collectible cards are important? As an Artist, when healing, you use your own HP, so you focus on Max HP for your card set. For example, a set of Maneth, Tarsila, Sol Grande, Brealeos, Aporas, and Adrinne works well here.
