The MMORPG Lost Ark wanted to give its players a gift for the end of the year 2022, but it didn’t go quite as planned. As a gesture of goodwill, players can look forward to even more gifts.
Lost Ark was one of the most played games on Steam in 2022. At the end of December, the team behind Lost Ark announced that all players should receive a gift to conclude the year.
After the maintenance, players were supposed to receive the following content:
- 100 Ancient Platinum Coins
- 10 Bundled Combat Item Chests
- One Legendary Selection Chest: Card Pack
- 100 Pheons
- 10 Special Color Chests from the Society of Magic
- One Mokoko Skin Selection Chest with 4 new options
Per account, one character could receive this gift – and the fact that it was supposed to happen was also positively received on the Lost Ark subreddit (via reddit). However, it seems there was an error: the combat item chests contained no selectable items, but random item bundles.
This was apparently not intended: the developers then stated they would send additional chests.
This is what players now receive as a gift in Lost Ark
This is the new gift: In the Lost Ark forum, it is explained that players will also receive an additional 100 “Combat Item Chests (4)”. This is meant to ensure that all players are equipped with all types of combat items and do not have to be disappointed if the random selection includes poorer items.
If the original gift has already been claimed, it should also be allowed to keep the items.
Gifts were already distributed in Lost Ark in November 2022. However, there was also an error then – which caused frustration.
How do you get the gifts? To do this, you only need to log into Lost Ark by March 15, 2023. The gift has been available since December 28, 2022.
