Lost Ark is a Korean action MMORPG that is reminiscent of Diablo 3. It is approaching its next closed beta and there are 8 minutes of new gameplay footage in the video.
In recent years, MMORPG fans have suffered from malnutrition. Similarly poorly off are fans of action MMORPGs and hack and slays. A Diablo IV is far away, Blizzard is stingy with expansions for Diablo 3, and many feel that “Diablo 3” is already too far removed from what they actually want. Three years ago, “Lost Ark” came just in time.

The Long Wait for Lost Ark
Lost ARK was introduced in 2014 at the Asian game conference G-Star and appeared to be the great savior that would soon come to Europe: Iso view like in Diablo, a lot happening on screen, great graphics: a spectacle. Since then, German hack-and-slash fans have been looking forward to Lost Ark, but there is a catch.
Games undergo a different development process in Asia. They are often presented to the public early but then go dark for years. Even a closed beta is not a sign that the release is imminent, and even afterwards it is normal for a game to go silent for a year.

What was seen of Lost Ark back then impressed many: however, a finished game was still years away. Since the end of 2014, fans have hoped that Lost Ark would come to the West and end the long wait for a real hack-and-slash.
Second Beta of Lost Ark – 8 Minutes of New Video Material
The second closed beta of Lost Ark is now approaching. It will take place from September 15 to September 24 in South Korea. Smilegate has now released an 8-minute trailer for the “hack and slash MMORPG”:
The second closed beta of Lost Ark is set to bring three new classes:
- The Destroyer
- The Arcana
- The Summoner
Furthermore, the map is significantly larger than in the first closed beta, and with “Navigation,” there is a new feature. The dungeon “the Heart of Kratehr” is new, as reported by Inven.
