Zoe can throw bubbles and teleport briefly in League of Legends. Additionally, she steals spells from opponents and minions.
Recently, Riot Games announced the new champion “Zoe” in a trailer. At first glance, she appears to be a Disney character. However, this “cute” reputation is overshadowed by the nasty abilities she possesses.
Zoe Champion Introduction – Abilities
Those who face Zoe as an opponent must prepare for some nasty tricks. She can reuse active spells and summoner spells from you. This applies to 40 spells and items. Your Flash becomes her Flash.
Passive: Spark Flight
The next normal attack deals additional damage after Zoe has cast a spell.
Q: Star Surge
With the Q ability, you shoot a star that deals magical damage in a small area and applies the passive spell (Spark Flight). You can cast Q again while the star is flying. This redirects the spell.
The damage of the star increases depending on the distance traveled (in a straight line).
W: Spell Thief
Here, Zoe shows her mean side! When your opponent uses a summoner spell or an active item, they drop a spell shard. This shard remains on the map for a certain time.
If Zoe collects the shard, she can cast the corresponding spell that caused the shard to appear. If your opponent flashes in a fight, they drop the flash shard. Zoe collects it and can then flash. Some minions can also drop spell shards when killed by Zoe.
Passive: If Zoe uses a summoner spell, her movement speed increases for a short time. Additionally, she fires projectiles at nearby enemies (prioritizing the nearest enemy to her). The special thing about this is that each projectile can trigger the passive Spark Flight.
E: Sleepy Trouble Bubble
With this spell, Zoe throws a spell bubble in a specific direction. This bubble explodes on the first enemy hit and deals magical damage. Enemies hit become drowsy and fall asleep after a few seconds. Enemies affected by this CC take additional damage from the next attack or spell.
If an opponent falls asleep, the cooldown of this ability is reduced.
If you miss the bubble on an enemy, it remains as a trap on the ground for a certain time.
R: Portal Jump
With her ultimate, Zoe can teleport to a target location for a short time and will then automatically be teleported back. During the teleport, you can use normal attacks, cast abilities, and see over walls. However, you cannot move.
At first glance, the ultimate seems to be nothing “crazy”. But: On Reddit, RiotScruffy explains that the cooldown of the ultimate is 10/8/6 seconds.
This then demonstrates the synergy with the Q ability, which does more damage over greater distances. So if you teleport away from an opponent with R, cast Q in the opposite direction of the opponent, and then redirect the star towards the opponent, it should deal massive damage!
On the other hand, the ultimate can also intercept skill shots. You can teleport with Zoe into the grab of a Blitzcrank and then stand back at your starting position. Your ADC will love you.
Due to her cute appearance, players were likely deceived. According to Riot employees on Reddit, Zoe’s skill cap is very high. “Easy to play, hard to master”
