The world-class player and Hall of Famer in League of Legends, Faker, is currently in Europe with his team T1, preparing for the Worlds. He has completed ten normal games on our EUW server and even lost one match. That is simply not acceptable, revenge followed.
This is the situation: When professional LoL players are traveling abroad and playing on foreign servers, they play with accounts provided by Riot, so they have access to all champions. Otherwise, they could only play with a very limited selection using new accounts.
Currently, the entire top tier of League of Legends is in Europe, as the World Championships are taking place here. The first team from the USA has already been eliminated.
Currently, the local solo queue offers some excellent players compared to usual. But Faker was not playing ranked, instead, he was in the “Normal Game” category – without ranking. Normally he would still be matched with high-level players, but the system apparently is not functioning correctly, as Faker seems to be playing with pre-made groups.
The four-time world champion Faker is the first player inducted into the Hall of Fame of League of Legends:
Imagine you’re playing Iron and suddenly Faker is on your team
Who did Faker play against? In a screenshot, it shows that Faker was in a match on September 30 with an “Iron” player in the same team, who only has 28 LP. Faker himself is still unranked. His other teammates are as well.
Faker is appearing under the I-name “Hide on bush #61151”. Normally, he should be facing similarly strong players, but he has an Iron player on his team while the opponent has a Silver player with a weak win rate of 38%. Those are low ranks in LoL.
Faker relaxes with Trundle on the Top Lane and loses a game
How did the matches go for him? Faker has played a total of 10 matches and won 9 of them. He played primarily on his usual Midlane but also tried out the Toplane, Botlane, and Support.
Typically, he dominates the matches, but he also seems to play quite casually at times and accepts many deaths. Playing as Lucian, he initially had a dominant score of 19:4:11, but then a mixed score of 4:3:4. As a support Pyke, he apparently had fun dominating the match with a score of 10:4:11.
Is he doing this alone? Faker often plays with the same people. Fans speculate (reddit), that his teammates could be other professionals or ex-professionals from T1 who are accompanying him to Europe. There are wild theories that a player named “Zimmer” might possibly be Zeus.
Roach seems to be a coach of T1 who still plays a bit. Some even speculate that head coach Kkoma might still be playing some rounds with Faker – or is it possibly support Keria?
Faker is probably just relaxing with LoL, but loses a game
Is he taking the matches seriously? It certainly seems that Faker is here more for fun. He plays champions like Trundle on the Top Lane, with whom he lost his only game.
Normal matches in LoL with friends probably have little to do with serious preparation for competition – that is more likely to be done in internal practice matches, the skirmishes that aren’t public. Faker casually plays through the normal matches to relax a bit with LoL after a day of LoL.
However, the one defeat with Trundle on the Top Lane apparently was enough for him, and Faker went back to the Midlane, dominating 3 games in a row with 13, 11 and 16 kills, and became MVP three times.

The game from the screenshot was won by Faker with 11 kills. The Iron player in his team got 10 kills, maybe he is also a pro who wanted to try something different. It will be interesting to see how the Worlds go for Faker and if once again “all paths lead to him”: A hidden detail in the new song for the LoL Worlds 2024 gives goosebumps
