The Christmas event at League of Legends (LoL) has now started and is available for a limited time. You can get these skins and icons at the Winter Festivities 2016 in League of Legends.
The Christmas season is also just around the corner for League of Legends. The Winter Festivities 2016 entice with a special version of the Legend of the Porokings game mode, special Poro snacks, a Christmas version of the Summoner’s Rift map, and special chests for skins and extras. The Winter Festivities 2016 started on December 14 and will be active until January 10.
Christmas Champion Skins at the League of Legends Snowdown
For this year’s Christmas celebration, Riot Games presents 3 new skins with a Christmas theme. The following skins will be available in the League of Legends shop from December 14, 2016 to January 10, 2017:
Christmas Braum – Santa Braum
Equipped with a burning fireplace, you can really heat things up for your opponents with this skin. Christmas Braum is available in the shop for 1350 RP.
Snow Day Graves – Snow Day Graves
Snow Day Graves shows you how to throw snowballs “correctly”. This skin, featuring a candy cane instead of a cigar, is available in the shop for 1350 RP.
Winter Wonder Karma – Winter Wonder Karma
Winter Wonder Karma showcases the “magic” of Christmas alongside Braum and Graves. The Winter Wonder skin is available for 1350 RP.
During the Winter Festivities event, you will receive loot in the form of sweets. These sweets can be obtained until January 10 from Hextech chests and on weekends for Influence Points. Winter Festivity chests reward you with more sweets than the other chests.
The collected sweets can be used to unlock exclusive Winter Festivities icons and emotes. The emotes and sweets are time-limited and will expire on January 17.

Various chests are available during the Christmas event at League of Legends for special skins and content. We will show you what is inside the chests and how to obtain them.
Poro King Chest in LoL
The special treasure chest cannot be purchased in the shop, but can only be crafted with materials. You do not need a Hextech key to open it. By opening Hextech chests that you purchase during the Winter Festivities 2016, you can obtain fragments for the Poro King Chest. If you have collected 3 fragments, you can craft a chest from them. As a reward, you can expect a guaranteed permanent skin.
Fireplace Chest in LoL
This chest costs 295 RP in the shop and does not require a Hextech key to open. Each day of the Winter Festivities features a new version of this chest. It contains a guaranteed thematic skin shard and 3 Winter Festivities sweets. Each version of the Winter Festivities chest will be available at least twice during the event. You can buy a maximum of 6 per day.
The chance of obtaining a fragment for the Poro King Chest from this chest is twice as high.
Classic Chest in LoL
Riot’s classic chest costs 295 RP in the shop and does not require a Hextech key to open. It is only available on weekends and contains a special classic skin as well as one Winter Festivities sweet.
Winter Chest in LoL
For 125 RP, you can get this chest in the shop. However, you will need a Hextech key to open it, which increases the total cost to 195 RP. This chest offers the usual contents of a Hextech chest and gives you a bonus of one additional Winter Festivities sweet.

You can purchase various Summoner icons for the previously mentioned sweets. Other icons are available as bonuses or also for RP in the shop. The icons will be available until the end of the event on January 10.

There are 4 different Poro snacks that you can use in the Porokings game mode. These include the frosty snacks, which make the king shoot snow, the espresso snacks, through which the king jumps around wildly, the super spicy snacks, which give the king a hot breath, and the Rainbow Party Pack, whose effects you can see in the video.

Winter Map and Skin Packages of the Winter Festivities 2016
The Christmas version of the Summoner’s Rift is active for all players during the Winter Festivities. Until January 10, you can play on the winter map in cooperative games and games with alternating or free choice. In ranked games, the usual map without snow is active.
To make the right impression on the new map, Riot Games offers you many different skin and champion packages. Among them is the Frosty Fighters package, which includes the following contents:

Merry Christmas to you! Even during this year’s Winter Festivities, you can give yourself mysterious gifts. Inside you will find a random champion, a skin, an eye, or a symbol with a minimum value of 520 RP. You will only receive content that you do not yet own. Mysterious skins are only available for champions in your possession.
