In LoL Wild Rift the new patch 2.0 has been released. This brought new champions, adjustments to matchmaking, and new skins. We have summarized the patch notes for you.
What are the new champions? With patch 2.0, 5 new champions from the realm of Yordle have been released:
- Corki, the bold bomber – Expected Midlane, Toplane
- Kennen, the heart of the storm – Midlane
- Tristana, the Yordle marksman – AD carry
- Lulu, the fae sorceress – Support, possibly Top lane
- Teemo, the swift scout – Top lane, maybe also Midlane
Thus, the number of champions in the game increases to 55. You can find all champions from Wild Rift in our list.
Is there finally a role selection? The queue with role selection that many have demanded was not included in this update. However, there were adjustments to matchmaking. Officially, it says:
- “We have slightly changed the matchmaking system to provide you with an even better gameplay quality and ranking experience.”
For ranking fans, there is another positive news. The leaderboard now updates every 10-15 minutes instead of just every 24 hours.
In addition, the start of season 1 has been announced. It starts on January 8. This means that season 0 will end soon. You can find the rewards of the current season 0 in this article.
Adjustments to the game systems
What else has changed? A major innovation of patch 2.0 is the group finder. Group leaders can make their lobbies available to people on their friends list or to the public (see top right of the lobby screen), and players can search for lobbies they want to join.
Furthermore, there have been numerous small innovations and adjustments that we have summarized:
- The latency display has been replaced by a network display and a ping.
- The achievements at the end of a game, as well as general achievements such as the most played champions, can now easily be shared on social media.
- There are now response pings to react to your teammates.
- There are now timers for the respawn of dragon and baron.
- In the scoreboard, you will now only see updates on opponents if you had vision of them.
- There is now a sticker wheel when you press and hold your champion.
- System messages no longer obstruct the view of your champion – that was one of our major points of criticism on Wild Rift here on MeinMMO.
- On the “Stats” tab of the score display, a detailed breakdown of important stats is now visible (Examples: damage reduction (in percentage) through armor and items with magic resistance).
- Towers now target super minions first and then siege minions.
