In a video, Riot presents the new abilities of Warwick after his rework in LoL .
The new skills of Warwick after the rework are demonstrated by the LoL developers in a video. It is seen that some features of the Wolf from League of Legends were retained but had to be adapted to the current game.
The “new” Warwick can make opponents flee, as is typical for an evil wolf. Moreover, he has gained jumping power and can traverse wide terrain. But the ADC players need not be afraid: In the ultimate ability, the developers have also considered the squishier champions.
Warwick receives promising skills through rework
Just yesterday, the League of Legends team gave the first insights into how “The new Warwick” performs after his update. In a video, they showed a short story that already hinted at some skills.
If you haven’t seen the Warwick teaser yet, you should definitely check out this video.
Now, Riot has released another video of Warwick. This video shows the Wolf in-game and demonstrates which attacks he will master after the rework. His new kit includes a Fear that sends enemy champions fleeing in panic after a short duration.
Abilities:
- Passive – Insatiable Hunger: Warwick’s normal attacks deal additional damage (magical). If Warwick is below 50% health, this additional damage heals him for the same amount.
- Q – Jaws of the Beast: Warwick jumps to his target, bites it, and heals himself for a portion of the damage dealt. If you hold the key, Warwick will latch onto the target and jump behind it.
- W (Passive) – Blood Hunt: Across the map, enemies with less than 50% health leave a blood trail. This blood trail leads Warwick to these enemies, making them targets of the Blood Hunt. Warwick gains increased attack speed against these targets and can move to them significantly faster out of combat. For enemies with very low health, these bonuses are tripled.
- W (Active): For a short time, Warwick reveals the blood trails of all enemies, even if they are at full health. The enemy champion that is closest to Warwick becomes the Blood Hunt target. This active ability has a long cooldown, which, however, occurs twice as fast if no enemies are being hunted.
- E – Howl: Warwick takes reduced damage for a short duration. After a brief delay or when reactivating the ability, he howls and applies an AOE fear to nearby enemies.
- R – Raging Fury: Warwick leaps in a target direction and suppresses the first enemy he hits. He deals damage to that enemy and triggers hit effects. The jump range is increased by Warwick’s movement speed. He also heals for the total damage he inflicts while Raging Fury is active. During the jump, Warwick is immune to crowd control.
