Today is the third round of the game mode rotation in League of Legends (LoL) – this weekend we are throwing Poros.
After “The Rise” last weekend kicked off the big game mode rotation, this afternoon, presumably around 4:00 PM (maybe earlier), we continue with a well-known game mode. “The Legend of the Poroking” was last seen in December 2015 during the Winter Joys event of League of Legends.
What do you need to do at the Poroking event in LoL?
Good news right at the beginning: There aren’t many rules to follow.
- The game mode is played on the ARAM map, the howling abyss. Similar rules apply that are also found in ARAM.
- No random champions, ban phase win team fights, destroy towers, destroy nexus – almost everything as usual.
- 2 new Summoner Spells
- Poro Throw: Similar to the snowball summoner spell, you throw a Poro at an opponent. If you hit an opponent, you can activate the spell again and teleport to the target. Each hit also gives your team a point.
- To the King: If a team reaches 10 points through “Poro Throw,” the Poroking falls from the sky onto the map (similar to Pantheon’s ultimate ability). With the summoner spell “to the king,” you can teleport directly to the Poroking from any distance.
- If the king appears for your team, you should definitely protect him. He offers you high siege potential, due to increased mana regeneration, area healing, and deals area damage to opponents.
- If the king is fighting for the opposing team, you should quickly take him out.
- So, make sure to use your Poro Throw ability as often as possible to quickly summon the Poroking.
You can also collect chests and keys for Hextech Crafting during this event again.
