With the new practice tool in LoL , you can try out builds or test new items in the jungle without spending hours in custom games.
Anyone looking to practice abilities like Flash in League of Legends or improve last-hitting has relied on custom games until now. However, it takes a long time, especially if you want to improve wall-flashes. After each Flash, there is a cooldown. A new practice tool will soon allow you not only to reset the cooldowns of abilities but also to give you infinite gold.
How does the practice tool work in LoL?
The sandbox mode has been requested by players for years. It allows you to try out new champions or quickly assemble builds by adding gold. Riot announces the practice tool for improving level 1 last-hitting, early jungle routes, or champion mechanics. In this single-player environment , Riot focuses on:
- Champion mechanics and combos
- Jungle experience
- Infinite last-hitting
- Item builds and DPS tests
- Map familiarity (Where to place wards, which walls you can flash over, and so on)
Commands in the LoL sandbox mode
At the launch of the practice tool in League of Legends, there will be a selection of basic commands. This selection may be expanded in the future. Based on community feedback, it will be decided which additional commands should be added.
Player commands:
- Automatic cooldown reset
- Automatic health refill
- Automatic refill of mana, energy, rage, and other resources
- Add gold
- Level up
- Prevent level ups (You stay at the same champion level)
- Teleport
- Respawn
Game-related commands:
- Make turrets invulnerable (toggle on and off)
- Turrets cannot shoot (toggle on and off)
- Activate and deactivate minions
- Fast forward game time by 30 seconds
- Reset the game
- Spawn an enemy practice dummy
- Spawn an allied practice dummy
- Remove all practice dummies
Jungle commands:
- Respawn jungle camps
- Spawn dragons (Which type can be chosen)
This is how the sandbox mode works
Using two examples, we will present the sandbox mode to you in detail. The first example refers to infinite last-hitting at level 1.
First example: Level 1 – Practice last-hitting
- Start the practice tool.
- Make the towers invulnerable so the minions do not destroy them.
- Prevent level ups so you stay at level 1 and do not receive additional damage buffs.
- Teleport comfortably to the lane after shopping.
- Fast forward the game until the minions appear.
- Practice last-hitting at level 1 as long as you want.
Second example: Try out jungle routes and techniques
- Start the practice tool.
- Teleport to the desired jungle position after shopping.
- Fast forward the game by 60 seconds so the camps spawn.
- Practice your jungle route.
- Reset the game at any time to start directly from the route again.
- If you only want to practice at a specific camp, you can simply reset the jungle instead of the entire game.
LoL Sandbox mode – Release
The developers at Riot Games do not want to make you wait long for the practice tool. Instead of perfecting the version of the tool, an early version will be released. This way, you can practice even during Season 7. However, this may result in incomplete features. Riot asks for your feedback in this regard. So far, the practice mode is only planned for single-player with bots.
