For a few days now, a video has been circulating in the LoL community that looks like a teaser for a new Pulsefire skin. More specifically, it is highly likely to be a Pulsefire Caitlyn skin. But before we give too much away, you should take a look — or rather, listen — to the new teaser yourself.
Pulsefire Ezreal gets enhanced by Caitlyn?
The new voice teaser was found on the PBE servers of League of Legends and published on the Surrender@20 website. These voice lines trigger when Ezreal moves for the first time on the test servers. It seems that this teaser is announcing a new Pulsefire skin.
Why is a Caitlyn skin assumed?
When Ezreal asks about a RAN diagnosis in the video, the answer is interrupted by a disturbance. You can briefly hear the words “Nowhere to hide” in the video, which belong to Caitlyn’s voice lines. The suspicion that a possible new Pulsefire skin is related to Caitlyn is therefore plausible.
To hear this teaser yourself, you only need to start a game with Ezreal (and an active Pulsefire skin) on the test servers and move around.
Time for a new Pulsefire skin
The first Pulsefire-themed skin was released in 2012 and was for the champion Ezreal. Since then, however, things have been quiet regarding this skin theme. On one hand, this makes sense, as these skins are supposed to be special. If there were to be a new Pulsefire skin every two months, the magic would be broken. On the other hand, there are many fans of these skin concepts.
But just because Riot doesn’t publish new skins doesn’t mean the community is staying quiet. There is a custom skin for Lucian with a Pulsefire theme. This is, however, not officially from Riot, but just a fan project.
More Pulsefire skins are certainly something the community desires. That is why the teaser is already well received in the community, and many players hope that it really announces a special skin for Caitlyn.
At the same time, the developers could roll out a visual update for the existing Ezreal skin that adjusts its appearance to the new map and the new client. Because the original Pulsefire skin of Ezreal is already a bit dated. We are curious when Riot will make official statements about this.
