The update for the League of Legends 2017 Pre-Season is here. It brings us significant changes mainly in the jungle and for assassins.
Since November 9, you can download the latest Patch 6.22. This marks the beginning of the Pre-Season, bringing a few major changes our way. One of the biggest changes is likely the rework of the entire assassin class.
These assassins have been reworked the most
- LeBlanc
- Talon
- Rengar
- Katarina
What has changed for these four champions of the assassin class?
- LeBlanc
Riot wanted to restore LeBlanc’s true identity and has made her more cunning than ever. Her ultimate “Eclipse” is now able to create a copy of LeBlanc that briefly becomes invisible. Both LeBlanc and her copy can enhance her other abilities, but only the real version deals damage. You can also enhance “Eclipse” itself, allowing LeBlanc to create a copy of herself with global range!
- Katarina
Katarina has received a new dagger mechanic that allows her to either set up fights or escape with increased movement speed. Additionally, it is now much easier for opponents to spot when Katarina is preparing to kill.
- Talon
Talon will be a master of parkour with the new patch! Riot has looked at the best Talon players in the world, who quickly visited side lanes with the “Boots of Mobility” and greeted their opponents with even faster kills. With his new ability “Path of the Assassin”, he can now jump in the target direction over the next building or terrain and always be present at the scene with brand new gank paths.
- Rengar
Opponents will have the chance to notice more quickly when Rengar is “Hunting”. In return, Rengar can defend himself better with his powerful teeth.
Further changes have been made for Fizz, Kha’Zix, Ekko, Shaco, Akali, and Zed as well as some assassin items, including the “Jagged Longsword”. For assassins who rely on attack damage, the new feature Lethality will be important – this will replace “Armor Penetration”!
Plants in the Jungle
With the Pre-Season, interactive plants have moved into the jungle. These provide you with new opportunities to escape or provoke fights.
Appearance locations
- Red = Blast Plant
- Blue = Seer Bloom
- Green = Honeyfruit
Additionally, the monster respawn times have been extended, and the monster gold and experience rewards have been increased. There are also more camp updates that will likely bring new jungle routes.
