The new patch 6.8 in League of Legends not only brings the new Taric into the game but also nice nerfs and special buffs!
It has now been about 3 months since developer Riot Games announced the plans for Taric’s rework. With today’s patch, this rework has been activated and is playable for everyone. In this patch, the champions that are currently a bit “annoying” have also been adjusted *cough Tank Ekko*.
The most important changes in patch 6.8 in LoL
Nerfs
Ekko: In almost every professional LoL match, an Ekko was seen, usually played on the top lane – especially as a tank, he has been very popular until now. With a win rate of over 57%, it was clear that something had to change. Therefore, the base damage of his Parallel Convergence (W) and his Phase Dive (E) has been reduced, but the AP scaling has been increased.
Graves: Graves has also been played more often as a tank lately, but still dealt a very high base damage. The base damage of his normal attacks has now been reduced, but critical hits now deal significantly more damage.
Master Yi: The long-awaited nerf for Master Yi finally arrives with patch 6.8 in LoL. Increased cooldown and a shortened duration of his Highlander (R) ability. However, the extension of this ability through a kill has been increased from 4 to 7 seconds.
To weaken tanks in general, the damage of the Iceborn Gauntlet has also been reduced and the Keystone “Grasp of the Undying” has been weakened by 0.5%.
Buffs
Galio: To give Galio a bit of – watch out, pun – “wind in his sails”, the developers at LoL have now adjusted his Shield of Durand (E). The mana costs of the ability have been reduced, and the bonus movement speed has been increased.
Olaf: The friendly berserker next door has already gained some momentum thanks to the rework of Bloodlust of the Warlord in patch 6.4. Now, his Chilling Smite (W) grants more lifesteal, and his Ragnarok (R) provides significantly higher armor and magic resistance values.
Rumble: Rumble also needed some buffs to be better suited for the top lane again. His Flamespitter (Q) now deals full damage to minions instead of only 50%. Additionally, the cooldown of his Equalizer (R) has been reduced.
The new Taric enters the League of Legends
As already mentioned, the update for Taric is now active on our servers – to celebrate this, there is also a skin package including the champion. With this, you can especially showcase Taric’s masculinity in pink. In the Champion Spotlight of Taric, you can then see for yourself why this hero is a “must-have”.
Ranked statistics and a new Diana skin in LoL
In the player creation lobby, it is now indicated which points can be earned in games through the new champion selection. Additionally, there is now again the view for ranked statistics in the menu. When you click on “Leagues” in your profile, you will now see the details of your current season under “view more statistics” without having to go to an extra webpage.
During the All-Star Event 2015, Team Fire won and made this Diana skin possible. Throughout this patch, the skin will be unlocked for the players of League of Legends.
