The Blood Moon event in League of Legends (LoL) brings a new game mode and cosmetic changes to the game.
On this and next weekend, you can participate in the Blood Moon Hunt in League of Legends. This game mode is part of the Blood Moon event that started today in League of Legends. A teaser pointed out the event, new skins, and a new design for the Summoner’s Rift map a few days ago.
LoL Bloodmoon Event
“There is no doubt about the cult of the Blood Moon. The sky demands a blood sacrifice, and the cultists will use the night to kill anyone foolish enough to show themselves under its ominous visage.” – With these words, the LoL team prepares the players for the current in-game event.
Duration: From February 10 to 14 and from February 17 to 21, you can start the game mode “The Blood Moon Hunt“. In this mode, you will play, as usual, 5 against 5. Hunters will sneak through the night trying to appease the Blood Moon by hunting demons, ghosts, and anyone else.
Due to the curse of the Blood Moon, there are no defensive items available in this game mode. Additionally, only the 20 most diabolical champions of the game are available, ten of which are in the current free champion rotation.
At night, you will find demons and ghosts on the map. The demon herald replaces the herald of the Rift and the dragon. Each blood frenzy triggered by killing champions and ghosts grants the demon’s mark. With this mark, you will become invisible and can hunt your opponents!
Objective: Both teams earn points each time the demon herald, roaming ghosts, or other players are defeated. The team that first reaches 350 points wins the match.
LoL Blood Moon Skins
For this event, there are four champion skins in the Blood Moon style. Each champion Jhin, Diana, Twisted Fate, and Talon gets one skin. You can purchase these skins for 1350 RP per skin in the store in League of Legends.
Additionally, there are summoner icons in the style of the various new Blood Moon skins available in the shop. These icons cost 250 RP. For Influence Points, there is the “Rising Blood Moon” icon, which is available for 1500 IP in the shop at certain times. An eye skin must not be missing at such an event, which is why Riot presents you with the blood demon eye skin, which costs 640 RP. The skins and icons are also available in special bundles that you can find in the shop.
Have you played the Blood Moon Hunt yet? How do you like the mode?
