Lineage II Revolution is an enormously successful mobile MMO by Netmarble and is currently only available in Korea. However, this week 11 more countries will be blessed with the release of Lineage II Revolution. Unfortunately, none of them are in Europe.
Lineage II Revolution is a mobile MMO that comes as a glossy title with Unreal Engine and complex gameplay. So far, the game is only available in Korea, where it has seen gigantic success and has already grossed over 170 million US dollars.
Now the mobile success MMO is set to release in 11 more countries.
Lineage II Revolution – The big Asia release
On June 14, Lineage Eternal is set to launch in the following Asian countries:
- Taiwan
- Hong Kong
- Macao
- Singapore
- Brunei
- Cambodia
- Laos
- Malaysia
- Myanmar
- Philippines
- Thailand
In Japan, the game will not launch until the third quarter and China will receive it only at the end of the year due to ongoing political tensions. And even though Lineage II Revolution continues to be successful with over 2 million registered players, it is slowly facing competition. NCSoft has developed its own Lineage for mobile devices: Lineage M.
This is set to release on June 21 in Korea. In contrast to Lineage II Revolution, Lineage M is fully developed by NCSoft, while Revolution is a licensed product, where NCSoft only collects royalties.
Lineage II Revolution – Europe release not until the end of the year
Contrary to initial rumors about a June launch of Lineage II Revolution in Europe and North America the game is now said to arrive later.
According to Korean media, the West release is planned for no earlier than the fourth quarter of 2017. Due to strong competition in Korea, much depends on the international success of the game for Netmarble.
