When it comes to Battlefield 6, there is currently only talk about the upcoming beta and the countless leaks that fans are being bombarded with. One of these leaks, however, caused panic in the community, but a developer steps in and alleviates the players’ concerns.
Which leak is it about? It is about the recently released leak from X-User rivaLxfactor. He had the chance to play an earlier version of Battlefield 6 (source: x.com). In this version, there was a feature for the “Assault” class regarding their ability. You could use your stim to see your enemies through walls.
This kind of feature is often exploited by hackers to gain an unfair advantage in PvP matches. According to the leaker, this feature nearly made it into the beta. For many fans, this is disturbing news, as no one wants to play a PvP game where everyone has the opportunity to gain such an unfair advantage.
Players were in a panic, but then a Battlefield 6 developer personally addressed the fans on Reddit and clarified what the feature was about.
From exciting insights to panic-mongering
What does the developer say to the fans? David Sirland, the Battlefield Lead Producer at DICE, spoke up on Reddit. He addressed the leak and explained in a brief post what it was about. Here’s what he had to say on Reddit:
“This is about an old, initial investigation regarding making ‘classes as effective as possible’ for the Assault class gadget (the stim pen). I believe it was tested for a build in the lab a long time ago and has since been removed from functionality (for good reason). So stay tuned, we’ll see you later this week.”
In brief, the feature is not and will not be available for the Assault class in the future. This is a reason for fans to celebrate. Many are now venting on Reddit about the panic-mongering by various leakers on social media.
A large part of the community also advises not to believe every leaker, especially not rivaLxfactor. He is described as an “angry attention seeker” who only wants to collect interactions on X to make money. However, besides negative leaks, there is also positive news, especially for those for whom the appearance of their classes is important: Players see how their soldiers look in Battlefield 6 – they have strong feelings immediately
