Known leakers from the Fortnite scene have now unearthed a new feature. This addition, which is dedicated to movement in Fortnite, should be familiar to you from another game. We at MeinMMO show you what it’s all about.
Which feature is being referred to? The sliding, or in English “sliding”, could soon be introduced in Fortnite. Savvy dataminers have discovered important information regarding a new form of movement in the data from Fortnite. This new feature allows you to slide along the ground like in Call of Duty Warzone.
In doing so, you can apparently still shoot enemies in the face and make your way through Fortnite. But what should you be aware of?
Soon you will be able to slide in Fortnite like in Call of Duty
It is hard to say for sure where Epic Games got the idea from. Many games in the “shooter” genre offer such movement. However, it is a fact that Call of Duty is well known for its sliding movement.
Since “CoD-Ghosts”, players have been able to make their way through the well-known shooter by sliding. Therefore, it is cool to see that Fortnite will possibly receive such a feature soon.
How will it work? There are still a few things to know. You will not be able to slide indefinitely. Dataminers also found out that Epic Games will implement certain rules for sliding.
This is what you currently need to know:
- You can shoot while sliding
- The angle and the surface of the ground affect the sliding
- You will have to wait 2 seconds before you can slide again
- Your field of view will be increased by 15 while sliding
What does the community think about it? They approach the information with mixed feelings. There are some concerns about this new form of movement. Players assume that the sweatlords from the community will take total advantage of it.
Nevertheless, positive comments outweigh the Twitter post. However, it is still unclear when this feature will come. Neither leakers nor Epic Games have commented on it yet.
Therefore, we ask you, what do you think of such a new feature? Do you think something like this has a place in the battle royale shooter “Fortnite”? Or would you rather have Epic Games scrap this idea, as it could completely ruin your gaming experience? Let us know.
