A leak about Genshin Impact reveals a new item that is supposed to provide players with more resin per week. The item is said to be closely tied to the upcoming housing system and will be purchased with the new currency “World Currency.”
What kind of item is it? The new item is called “Transient Resin.” According to the leak, it is supposed to restore 60 resin when used. It is expected to come with update 1.5, which is anticipated at the end of April.
To purchase Transient Resin in the store, you must first reach Trust Rank 6. It is a new system that will come with housing in Genshin Impact. You will need 1,200 Realm Currency, a new currency introduced with housing.
However, you cannot store and save Transient Resin indefinitely. The item will dissolve 7 days after the first Monday since its sale. So you can store it for a maximum of just under 2 weeks.
The expiration time of individual resins will be calculated separately. So if you purchase one resin and then another a week later, they will dissolve on different days if not used.
It is still unclear how Transient Resin will be available in the shop per week. One leak suggests it will be possible every 2 days, while another mentions once a week.
As always, you should take this information with a grain of caution, as it is based on leaks and not official information.
What is “Realm Currency”? It is a new currency that is supposed to come with update 1.5 to Genshin and is said to be closely linked to the housing system. In addition to Transient Resin, it can be spent on a variety of other items:
- Furniture for your housing
- Materials for crafting
- Blueprints, etc.
The Realm Currency seems to recharge automatically. The furniture in your housing directly impacts the recharge speed. The more furniture you have, the more “Adeptal Energy” you have, and the faster you get Realm Currency, according to the leaks.
Whether World Currency can be topped up with real money, as is the case with primogems, is still unknown.
Original Resin as a point of criticism for Genshin Impact
Why the resin is important: Original Resin is the stamina system of Genshin Impact and has been critically viewed by many since the release of the game. It is available in limited quantities and is needed to obtain loot from various content in the game. Thus, it slows down the progress of players, preventing them from endlessly grinding for loot, at least without having to spend real money.
The developer miHoYo has already responded to the criticism:
- The maximum amount of resin has been increased from 120 to 160.
- The amount of new content that requires resin has been reduced, and the battle pass has been adjusted.
Additionally, a new pass briefly appeared in the Chinese PlayStation Store, which promised daily resin regeneration. However, it was quickly removed.
Now, it seems that with Transient Resin, another measure is being introduced to spice up the resin system.
