You only have a few days left to achieve your goals for this ranked season in LoL and secure a cool skin.
The ranked season for 2016 in League of Legends ends on November 8. Until then, you still have time to reach a Gold rank. If you achieve Gold or a higher rank, Riot rewards you with an exclusive skin. We show you what this skin looks like and when exactly you have time to improve your ranked position. Additionally, there are more ranked rewards waiting for you.
Rewards for the League of Legends Season 2016
Exactly at midnight from November 7 to November 8, the ranked queues will be taken down for 90 minutes. During this time, the ranked rewards for the 2016 season will be distributed to the corresponding players. Players in the Challenger tier should know that the position that counts is the one you have at the last ranked update on November 7. Therefore, the games must be completed before this update. For games below the Master tier, it’s different. There, the games just need to start before 11:59 PM. You can find a countdown for this in your League of Legends client. The open beta for the game client starts soon.
The following rewards await you for reaching the various ranks:
- Bronze: Summoner Icon
- Silver: Summoner Icon, Banner Frame, Loading Screen Frame (including Division Marking)
- Gold+: Summoner Icon, Banner Frame, Loading Screen Frame (including Division Marking), Design for Friend Requests, Victorious Maokai (+ Maokai, if you do not own the champion yet)
- Challenger: Summoner Icon, Banner Frame, Loading Screen Frame, Design for Friend Requests, Victorious Maokai (+ Maokai, if you do not own the champion yet), Exclusive real-life rewards
To qualify for these rewards, the rank you have at the end of the season counts. It does not matter what your highest placement during the season was. For reaching 15, 30, or 45 points in Team Ranked, you also receive Ward Skins.
Victorious Maokai
As mentioned, players who have reached at least the Gold rank will receive a gifted skin. For the 2016 season, it is Victorious Maokai. If you have not purchased Maokai yet, you will also receive the champion for free.
