Landmark will be released as a budget title on PC in 2 weeks. The game already has an exciting development history behind it, currently it is in a longer valley.
Landmark is scheduled to appear on June 10 at 7:00 PM our time. It will be a $10 title, probably costing €10 in Europe then. It all starts on June 10. Those who purchase a Founder package sometime before June 6 can start 2 days earlier: on June 8 at 7:00 PM.

Landmark has already had a turbulent development history at this point. It was in a closed beta for ages. Two years ago we speculated when it would finally go into an open beta and “take off” properly.
It turns out: never.
Landmark was originally envisioned as a “This is how the developers do it” perspective on Everquest Next. Players were supposed to get the same tools that the developers used to create assets for the next-gen MMO. They were to be able to stake land, build houses, and even command NPCs to create their own stories.
Probably the quietest launch of the year
Mein MMO says: Unusual situation. Landmark was an interesting title approximately two years ago, when the hype around EQ Next was still boiling; many probably thought “Once it’s a bit further along and goes into open beta, I’ll take a look!” However, the development speed slowed down, as did the interest in the title.
After the cancellation of Everquest Next, the “hype curve” is likely at an absolute low point. Releasing the game now, without an open beta beforehand – good. In any case, one can be curious to see how the game develops. It is an interesting title with an unusual concept – and despite the slow development speed, a lot has happened in two years.
Favorable signs certainly look different. But Landmark will probably be as close as we will ever get to the beautiful dream of Everquest Next.
