You can now awaken the new class Lahn in Black Desert and unlock a new weapon and new skills. In addition, Kakao Games is granting all players additional experience points.
The crescent polearm-wielding class Lahn has been playable in Europe for 2 weeks, and many players have been enjoying her in Black Desert. With the new update, Lahn can switch to her powerful Awakening form.
Awakening refers to a process in Black Desert where each class accesses the true power that lies within them. This gives them new weapons and skills, changing their gameplay.
She slaughters her enemies with two polearms
When can I awaken Lahn? At level 56, players receive the “Awakening” quest line, which rewards them with a new weapon and new skills at the end.
Will I lose my old skills? No, players can switch between the old and new skills at will.
What can the awakened Lahn do? When your Lahn awakens, she not only becomes stronger but also receives a set of new skills. For example, you can protect yourself with the chains stretched between the polearms or throw the polearms at an enemy.
But how does Lahn gain her new powers? A tragic story lies behind it.
Lahn started as a small shrine guardian
A shrine guardian becomes a fighter. Before Lahn roamed the playable world of Black Desert, she was a simple shrine guardian who one day met Yeung Reung-Hyang. This man taught her how to fight, and over the course of their training together, she developed feelings for him.
As a shrine guardian, she enjoyed great popularity among the people. And the king of the land felt threatened by the great influence Lahn had. He devised a plan to get rid of her and her friend Yeung.
The king ordered them to set out against a hostile ruler. Halfway to their destination, they were attacked by the king’s soldiers, and Yeung was killed.
After burying her good friend, Lahn fled the land, vowing to return one day and seek justice.
“Blood avenges only with blood”
Lahn awakens her dark side: Some time passed, but Lahn could not shake off the horrific memories that haunted her. Every day she trained in hopes of forgetting.
Sunken in the mud, she suddenly saw her old friend Yeung Reung-Hyang. Had he risen from the dead? She had buried him with her own hands.
Her memories returned, and her old friend spoke of the ancient weapon he had found while searching for her. Together they decided to go for the polearms and then seek justice together.
The polearms promise her power: For several days, they marched together through the land until they stumbled upon the two polearms that were half-buried in the ground. She reached for the polearms, hoping to bring justice. But her old friend Yeung was not who he appeared to be. It was a dark figure that had only taken on Yeung’s form.
“Soon the dark power of the polearms will possess your mind,” said the figure. But she resisted against it and subdued the spirit. “From now on, your soul and ideals are corrupted. You will become a being of bloodlust and chaos.”
From then on, she roams the lands, seeking justice. Always moving from one target to the next.
But even for players who do not want to delve too deeply into Lahn’s background story, Kakao Games has something in store. To celebrate the arrival of the new form, Kakao Games is holding an event where you can reap great rewards.
There are rewards
What can you get? As is common in Black Desert, there is an event to celebrate the awakening of Lahn. From June 6 to June 27, you will receive Lahn seals for fishing, gathering, and defeating monsters.
Additionally, you will be rewarded when your Lahn reaches levels 56 to 58. So it’s worth trying out Lahn’s awakening over the next few weeks.
Additionally, since June 6, the “Hot Days” event has been active, where you receive bonuses on experience points and gathering. The event has no end date yet.
