This Pokémon GO trainer trio is dealing powerful electric shocks to the legendary water Pokémon Kyogre.
For a few days now, we have been encountering the legendary water Pokémon Kyogre in some gyms in Pokémon GO. The monster is sought after and is battled by trainers worldwide who encounter it as a raid boss.
A trio from Canada has assembled their strongest counter Pokémon and took down the mighty water boss solo without further assistance.

To make the fight against the new boss Kyogre in Pokémon GO even more exciting, trainers kieng, Scotty, and David Chang decided to tackle the match in a trio. As shown in our counter guide, the electric Raikou is an exceptionally good choice in the battle against the water Pokémon Kyogre.
In the battle, they did not utilize weather advantages to strengthen their own Pokémon. In the following video, you can watch the recorded gym fight.
They primarily used Raikou at level 40, a few at level 38.5 with 15 attack, and one Raikou at level 35 (because they ran out of candies to power up). The showcased Raikou know Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt as movesets.
As trainer kieng explains, the raid boss had one of the simplest movesets in the battle with the Thunder attack. This contributed to the positive outcome. In the future, the trio also wants to take on Blizzard-Kyogre and Hydro Pump-Kyogre.
