The trailer for the latest DLC of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is here and recalls one of the best quests from the predecessor. Heinrich travels again to a monastery, although this time there is a different mystery to uncover.
What is the new DLC about? In Mysteria Ecclesiae, Heinrich conducts investigations in a remote monastery. Suddenly, a deadly plague spreads there – and he is supposed to find out what is behind it. The developers promise that this will be Heinrich’s “most haunting investigation yet”.
You can get a first impression of the new DLC in the trailer. It is set to be released on November 11, 2025.
Which quest from the predecessor does the DLC remind of? With its setting, the last DLC recalls “The Needle in the Haystack,” a main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance and one of the most memorable quests in the entire game.
In this quest, Heinrich was infiltrated as a novice into the Sasau monastery to locate someone there. To avoid drawing attention, he had to adapt to the daily life of the monks. For example, he was not allowed to miss communal prayer or meals, and for more serious offenses, he was even thrown out of the monastery.
How the new DLC ties into the gameplay of this quest is not yet clear from the trailer. Since Heinrich appears in his regular armor, he seems, at least, not to be undercover throughout.
Fans are already mourning the game
How is the trailer received by the fans? Players are definitely ready for the next monastery, as the comments on the trailer on YouTube show:
- “PTSD from the Monastery quest in KCD1 intensifies,” jokes ethancarter.
- marcdwonn9772 also says: “One of the best quests in KCD1, it turned a good game into a great game for me.”
However, a certain sadness is also spreading in the comments. After all, this is the last DLC for KCD2, as the trailer emphasizes once again. Many players, however, do not want it to end yet.
- “please no its too soon.” (MrMattKaye)
- “I don’t want this game to end.” (Grapefruit5000)
- “The only thing that makes me sad is that this is the last one.” (AFOKHAOS)
- “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” (ArathirCz)
- “I’m crying right now- that’s how much this series means to me.” (JohnPaulSaylor)
Fans are now hoping for a possible Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3. However, this has not yet been officially announced.
Whether there will even be a sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is still unclear. Fans hope that it will continue, but some statements from the developers raise doubts.
