Just Survive, the survival arm of the zombie online game H1Z1, has experienced another wipe – and the players are not very happy about it.
Just Survive has had little luck lately. Many bugs mar the gaming experience, there are frequent wipes that erase all player progress, and the servers are often inaccessible. Additionally, there are many cheaters who take the fun away from others. This results in negative sentiment within the community. The game’s rating on Steam has recently dropped to “mostly negative”.

Patch brings a wipe
On January 16, a larger patch was deployed, mainly focusing on fixing bugs and introducing anti-cheat measures. Players had high hopes for this patch to finally experience a pleasant gaming experience. However, the update also brought another wipe, which was not well received in the official forum.
Reactions range from amusement to despair to anger. Some believe that the developers have only been making things worse lately. The patches do not bring what players hope for, and the wipes only lead to frustration. According to some in the community, Just Survive simply does not play well anymore and is hardly fun.

Developers apologize
The developers apologize for yet another wipe. The team had hoped until the last moment that they could deploy the patch without a wipe. But that did not work out.
There were simply too many cheaters who gained unfair advantages. However, the community has shown little willingness to make amends so far.
Back then the turning point: H1Z1 became two games – Just Survive and King of the Kill.
