Who is Pierre Laurent? You will encounter the character Pierre multiple times in the game. You will have the chance to take him out or spare him. If you choose the peaceful way, you can recruit the mercenary for your team.

Spare Pierre and recruit him
This is what you need to do: To get the option to recruit Pierre for your team, you must make a few important decisions in the game beforehand.
- First, you will encounter Pierre at the start and must defeat him.
- After defeating him, you have the choice to kill him or let him live.
- Decide to spare Pierre to recruit him later.
- This is a very important point! If you take Pierre out, you will no longer have a chance to recruit him to your team.
- During the story, you slowly build a good reputation with Pierre by enjoying a good standing with Grand Chien.
- If you help Ernie Village, you earn Pierre’s trust. Here, you should assist with a machine gun, train the military, and prevent the lynching of Pierre’s father.
- The mission “Reforming Bastien” is also an important point to secure Pierre’s trust.
- Once you have completed all this, you can speak to Pierre in the Yard (F19) and recruit him.
It is therefore important how you decide early in the game to hire Pierre. Unfortunately, during our first walkthrough, we chose the cold-blooded option and therefore lost our chance to recruit him as a merc.
