Even SpongeBob has a house in World of Warcraft – at least he should feel comfortable there. Because a big pineapple is already waiting for him.
Housing in World of Warcraft unleashes unexpected creativity in the community and also ensures that some people spend a lot of time on game content that they would otherwise likely avoid. But not everyone tries their hand at a “serious” house – some just want to pay tribute to a popular TV series, like SpongeBob.
How did he do it? Recreating SpongeBob’s house may look complicated at first glance, but it is actually quite simple. The player Fridge_nz just had to dye a lot of rugs with orange paint and then build them into the egg-shaped pineapple. While this is a bit of a fiddly and detailed task, it’s not a big problem with enough perseverance.
Additional details, like the stalk, can then be added with trees, and the windows seem to be wells that have simply been pushed far into the rugs.
The community is now, of course, demanding that the entire neighborhood be transformed into “Bikini Bottom” and that everyone should create a house from the SpongeBob universe there – but whether this will be adhered to is probably written in the stars.
That rugs are true wonders of multifunctionality has already been explained here.
More and more creative housing projects
Other projects have also emerged in recent days, such as a house that is apparently inspired by Warhammer 40k, as the name “For the Emperor” implies:
Druids, on the other hand, are excited that Blizzard has now made flying houses “officially” possible. Because this allows for new possibilities, such as creating a beautiful treehouse, which is probably every druid’s dream:
The community continues to showcase extreme creativity in dealing with housing and brings forth new projects every day, from which one can draw inspiration or simply admire. At Blizzard, there is at least one SpongeBob fan, because anyone who wants to can find SpongeBob and Patrick even in The War Within.
