Blizzard has released new details about flying in Patch 8.2 of World of Warcraft. We will tell you what you need for flying.
One of the most anticipated features of Patch 8.2 in World of Warcraft is flying. So far, it has not been possible to take off in Kul Tiras and Zandalar, but that will change soon. With the next update, flying will also be possible in the areas of Battle for Azeroth.
This is how long it takes to unlock: Even though there are no fixed numbers, Blizzard has already revealed that unlocking flying will take about three weeks for “average players.” What exactly defines an average player is open to debate. However, those who are diligent in following the story in Nazjatar and completing at least a handful of world quests or other activities in Nazjatar and Mechagon each day probably won’t have to wait long for flying.
What needs to be done for flying? The requirements for flying in Battle for Azeroth are similar to previous expansions. You must achieve at least a respectful reputation with the new factions of Patch 8.2. The factions are:
- Rustbolt Resistance (Mechagon)
- Ankoan (Nazjatar)
- Unshackled (Nazjatar)
You unlock reputation as usual through quests and world quests that are intended to offer more variety. In Mechagon, you can also exchange scrap parts for reputation, which you can find throughout Mechagon.
A mechanical bird as a reward: Those who complete the achievement “Pathfinder of Battle for Azeroth, Part 2” not only unlock flying but also receive a brand-new mount as a reward. A mechanical parrot awaits you, which you will receive immediately upon completing the achievement. It visually resembles the small parrot you got as a pet when you helped this couple achieve a happy future.
The special thing is that flying is also immediately applicable to the new areas of Nazjatar and Mechagon. There are no restrictions, and players can take to the skies in all zones of Battle for Azeroth.
