Streamer Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. has again livestreamed his travels on Twitch and YouTube, encountering a stream sniper who behaved recklessly. He fled the scene despite numerous cameras pointing at him.
The streamer IShowSpeed is currently on a journey across the USA. He is hitting various spots, such as San Francisco and Portland. He visited the fire department and rode roller coasters in amusement parks.
No matter where the streamer appears, he always has at least a handful of enthusiastic viewers following him. If he stops, a crowd forms around him in no time. No wonder, as the 20-year-old has over 2.3 million followers on Twitch and averaged 11,515 viewers during his USA tour in the last 30 days (Source: SullyGnome).
For his public appearances, IShowSpeed always has a team of security and bodyguards with him, as viewers often imitate the streamer’s reckless and attention-seeking behavior. In the past, his actions already led to a ban on Twitch, which was later lifted.
His high viewer count and numerous interactions with viewers he encounters in the stream make IShowSpeed more vulnerable to stream snipers.

Stream sniper blocks the road, then flees the scene
What does the stream sniper do? IShowSpeed is currently driving through the streets of San Francisco in California with his team when a stream sniper in his Audi blocks the road. At a traffic light that is green, the car does not move. The driver holds his phone out of the window and apparently tries to film IShowSpeed.
The streamer is leaning out of the sunroof of his car and yells forward: “Go! Go! It’s damn green! Go!” (Source: YouTube at 8:24:01).
The stream sniper eventually drives off but apparently does not see the motorcyclists in front of him. He hits one of them, even running over the motorcycle itself. The rider manages to escape from the car just in time.
Instead of getting out, the stream sniper simply drives away, thus committing hit-and-run. Given the circumstances, this does not seem particularly advisable. After all, both IShowSpeed’s livestream and the ABC7 news helicopter’s camera are focused on him. You can watch the clip from ABC7 on Reddit.
Whether the driver is being investigated is unknown. However, a lack of evidence should not hinder the investigation.
