The last PS5 sale on Amazon was over a month ago and thousands of interested buyers are still waiting to snag a PS5 on Amazon.
But that could change in the coming days. While MediaMarkt and Saturn sold thousands of consoles, there was silence at Amazon. However, many signs suggest that a major PS5 drop on Amazon might happen today or in the coming days.

Many factors indicate a PS5 drop on Amazon
What indicates a PS5 drop? Several hints point to a drop on Amazon. Because similar things happened before previous sales:
- Currently, some PS5 offers on Amazon have the note “Prime members have priority access to the PlayStation 5.” This usually appears shortly before larger sales events the night before.
- The last PS5 drop on Amazon was 36 days ago, which suggests that new consoles could be available soon.
- An Amazon insider had also stated that there would soon be another drop at the retailer.
How many consoles will there be? According to a reliable source, who was correct about several drops, there will be more than 10,000 PS5 consoles (via foraum.de). About a third of them are expected to be the Digital Edition of the PlayStation 5.
What might be particularly worthwhile? There is also discussion about a “Ghost of Tsushima” bundle, which has already been briefly listed by other retailers. So keep your eyes open today when you’re on Amazon.

Do I need a Prime membership? Currently, we do not yet know if the sale will be exclusive to Prime members or if you can also buy a PS5 without a Prime subscription. With a Prime membership, you definitely have an advantage over other customers.
Other Amazon sites had previously sold PS5 consoles exclusively to Prime members, and that could also be the case this time.
When could the sale start? So far, the PS5 sale on Amazon usually starts in the early morning between 8:30 and 11:00 AM. If you do not yet have a console, keep an eye out during this period.
