Since the Battlefield V Closed Alpha ended, fans have been eagerly awaiting details on a beta. Even though DICE itself remains quiet, fans hope that an Origin update might bring more information soon.
The Battlefield 5 Alpha page has been updated on the Origin service with new information. This gives fans hope that another Battlefield V Alpha or perhaps even a Beta could be on the horizon.
UPDATE 10.08.2018: Finally, there is clarity. A second Battlefield 5 Alpha has been officially announced. More details can be found here: New Battlefield 5 Closed Alpha is coming – Everything you need to know
Next Battlefield 5 Closed Alpha or even the Beta in a few days?
Update on Origin: The corresponding tile/page on Origin briefly displayed August 13, 2018, as the preload date and August 14 as the release date. But for what exactly?

Fans are currently unsure: One theory suggests that EA might be teasing the date for the Battlefield 5 Beta. After all, Alpha pages/tiles on Origin are usually not updated after the testing phase is completed.
Others suspect another Alpha. After all, the page/tile still states Alpha. This is supported by the fact that EA typically announces Beta tests several weeks in advance. However, there are only a few days left until August 14. Additionally, EA would likely announce a Beta for Battlefield 5 on a larger scale.
EA adds fuel to the fire: EA is further fueling discussions with some recent tweets. The official Battlefield Twitter account responded to a fan’s statement that they would like to play more regarding the Alpha, saying: “They say if you really wish for something…”
The hopes of the fans do not seem entirely unfounded.
Battlefield 5 Alpha page updated again: The relevant page/tile was updated again afterward. Both the preload and release date for the potential Battlefield 5 Alpha or Beta are no longer visible. Instead, it now reads “No longer available on Origin,” which is the usual case for completed testing phases.
The fans remain hopeful: This could have simply been an error on EA’s part, but there are enough potential signs to keep fans hopeful that news regarding further test phases of Battlefield V will be announced very soon.
No official information yet: The Battlefield 5 Beta has not yet been officially scheduled. Battlefield 5 will be released on October 19 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
