If our readers could decide, they would cap the costs for re-forging. This is quite annoying in World of Warcraft.
Re-forging has been a hot topic in World of Warcraft since the release of Battle for Azeroth. Those who want to redistribute their Azerite abilities have to pay for it. What starts with low gold costs doubles with each process.
So, those who frequently change their specialization and do not own multiple sets of Azerite items quickly incur high costs and have to spend all their earned gold or live with suboptimal abilities.
A few days ago, we wanted to know from you whether these costs are reasonable or if you would like a change. You decided – and quite clearly!
- Only 18% of voters believe that the current costs for re-forging are reasonable – which is less than one in five.
- A total of 29% of our readers (almost one in three) believe that re-forging should be completely free.
- The vast majority, 53%, wish that the costs for re-forging are capped. That is, they should not increase after 1000 gold.
This is what our readers say in the comments
In the comments, contrary to the results of the survey, most spoke in favor of the current system. Here are some voices from our readers.
- Marcel: “The prices are okay. Normally, you don’t need to re-forge often. And those who play different specs should anyway have multiple gear sets.”
- Koronus: “In my opinion, it’s back to the roots. So one set for each activity and thanks to the new large bags, one can afford the space.”
On our WoW Facebook page, the comments are more mixed. It says:
Dennis M.: “Totally exaggerated. I think it should reset on Wednesdays as well.”
By the way, Blizzard has stated that they will make re-forging, if at all, even more restrictive. A loosening according to the community’s wishes is therefore not in sight.
Whether Blizzard will back down here or stubbornly stick to the costs of re-forging remains to be seen.
