PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is no longer just a game. The fan filmmakers from Corridor Digital have created a hilarious fan film. It features everything that constitutes a typical PUBG round.
In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the goal is for single players or teams to kill each other until only one remains, proclaiming “Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!” as they claim victory. The gameplay is inspired by battle royale films such as the famous “Hunger Games” and the namesake work “Battle Royale”.
By now, the circle between game and film has closed again, as the fan filmmakers from Corridor Digital have depicted a typical PUBG round in a funny short film.

The film “The BATTLEGROUNDS” does not take itself too seriously, but perfectly captures the essence of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The game is famous for various outrageous to silly scenarios. From bulletproof pans to sneaky Koreans who infiltrate an enemy team and rowdy streamers who provoke controversies with team kills.
Therefore, the film also contains the full dose of beloved PUBG clichés, including:
- Pro gamers with cool leather jackets
- Supply crates that become death traps.
- Noob teams that are poorly equipped and don’t know what to do
- Bulletproof frying pans
A typical PUBG match
The film revolves around the final moments of a typical PUBG match. Besides a pro gamer, two squads are left. A couple of good, fully equipped players and a horde of noobs who only have a pan, a shotgun, and a single assault rifle. As is often the case in squad mode, one of the four beginners doesn’t even get a weapon and can only run around aimlessly.
In this situation, a supply drop is airdropped. In the game, such crates are always filled with cool weapons and items. However, since they can be seen from afar, they become an El Dorado for campers waiting for greedy or desperate players. And exactly such a scenario unfolds in the BATTLEGROUNDS film.
