What kind of test is it? Thanks to the leaks about the upcoming chapter on Reddit, we already know what will happen in part 1126 of the manga. There will be a clash between Shanks’ Red-Haired Pirates and the Barto Club, led by Bartolomeo.
Shanks’ crew maintains the upper hand and defeats Bartolomeo’s crew. However, Shanks has devised a rather insidious plan for the pirates: He gives them a poison that they are to deliver to Ruffy. Ruffy is supposed to drink the poison within a month.
But instead of delivering the poison to Ruffy, Bartolomeo drinks it himself. He risks his life to protect Ruffy’s. In the same chapter, we will find out if Bartolomeo passes the test.

How does the test turn out? After Bartolomeo drinks the poison, it turns out that it has no effect at all. Rather, it was a test from Shanks, who simply wanted to show how far the members of the Grand Fleet would go for Ruffy.
This shows that not only Bartolomeo would do anything for Ruffy. Shanks’ connection to Ruffy is also evident here. The two have known each other since Ruffy’s early childhood, and even though they haven’t seen each other in a long time, Shanks still cares about Ruffy’s well-being.
And that is not a matter of course: Both captains belong to the pirate emperors and have a chance to find the One Piece as the first crew. Therefore, Ruffy and Shanks are actually in competition with each other.
Who is Bartolomeo? Bartolomeo is part of Ruffy’s Grand Fleet. The fleet is supposed to support the Straw Hat when he is in trouble. In addition to Bartolomeo, there are other characters from the Dressrosa Arc who are part of the fleet.
Bartolomeo himself is a gigantic fan of the Straw Hat Pirates. He has long admired them. He was also present when Buggy tried to behead Ruffy. Therefore, he could already appear as an Easter egg in the 2nd season of the Netflix series of One Piece: A pirate from One Piece, who you actually see only 586 episodes later in the anime, is already visible in season 2 on Netflix
