Do you want to go on a big monster hunt with friends? Then the magic shooter Arena Tails on Steam might be something for you.
Currently, there is a big “Game Preview” on Steam, and many upcoming games are showcasing their demos as part of this event. The event runs until October 21.
One of these games is “Arena Tails.” The game comes from the “Quiet Rift Studios” and is set to be released in the fourth quarter of 2024 – that is, within the next two and a half months.

What kind of game is Arena Tails on Steam?
Arena Tails describes itself as a third-person shooter that can be played solo or cooperatively with up to three friends. This can be done both locally and in an online mode.
Arena Tails immerses you in a colorful fantasy world where you can engage in combat with various monsters. It starts with cute but obviously angry monster mushrooms, moves on to ghosts, and ends with gigantic plant monsters that can deal significant damage.
You rely on one of several classes, which you can equip with different abilities. For example, there is a small wizard who uses elemental magic and accordingly hurls fireballs and ice spells. An alternative is the ranged shooter who takes down the nasty monsters with arrows. Throughout the game, you can improve your abilities.
You are thrown into an arena where you must complete various objectives until you encounter powerful bosses that are harder to defeat. Different biomes are available, such as a dark mushroom forest or a kind of stadium.
The graphics of the game are quite colorful and have a magical touch. It is by no means a brutal game, but rather a friendly magical battle – at least judging by the current demo.
In the demo, you can currently try out the two classes and dive into the first arena battles to get a feel for the combat system. With the wizard and the ranged shooter, you can either meet your first monsters in the arenas or alternatively shoot at lifeless targets in a kind of hub world to get a feel for the weapons.
Who is this for? At first glance, Arena Tails seems to be a relatively beginner-friendly fantasy game that impresses with its cute visuals. If it’s right for you, you can easily try it out in the demo – it’s free to play and doesn’t take up much storage space.
What the game has to offer in its entirety will be revealed when it is released later this year. You might like beautifully designed worlds but are less excited about a magic shooter? Then check this out: “Neva” promises to be a beautiful action-adventure.
