In The Division 2 has a new, serious glitch appeared with the last major update. Thanks to this, some players can run around as nearly indestructible tanks. What is going on?
This glitch is causing problems: The glitch is related to the players’ armor. Under the right circumstances, you can achieve armor values that are much higher than the otherwise possible rolls.
Some players are taking advantage of the bug to become incredibly resilient and stroll through PvE and PvP. However, the glitch only occurs in the Dark Zone and Conflict.
The glitch massively increases armor
What does this glitch do? This allows armor values of over 700,000, according to some players even over 1 million, to be possible.
For comparison: With most builds, the armor value should range between 180,000 and 250,000. So anyone taking advantage of the glitch becomes a mega-tank and has an unfair advantage.
How can the glitch occur? However, you can only apply the glitch in the Dark Zone and in PvP, as it is related to the normalization of values.
How exactly this works is something you will have to find out for yourself. We do not want to provide a guide for a serious glitch. Currently, it is already being exploited by many, so be careful when you jump into PvP duels.
If you should try the glitch yourself: Be aware that exploiting glitches could be punished by the developer. There were already issues with glitches and exploits in The Division 1. Proven users of such issues have been banned in many cases.
Players warn against entering the Dark Zone
This is how the community reacts: Most players are not thrilled by such glitches.
- In the Subreddit of The Division 2, some are already reporting that they were killed by users of the glitch in PvP.
- The Dark Zone does not have a good reputation among many players, as a comment shows: “Just another reason to stay away from the Dark Zone, the [situation] is slowly resembling The Division 1 more and more.”
- In a Reddit post, even one of the top PvP players on Xbox One is accused with a screenshot of exploiting the glitch.
- Overall, the glitch is not contributing positively to the current sentiment of The Division 2.
What does the developer say? So far there is no official statement from Massive. However, such issues likely have the highest priority.
