Cloud Imperium Games has released Alpha 3.7 of the space game Star Citizen and introduces some cool features. You can now explore caves and fly ships that you have not bought, but only rented.
Which version has been released? It is Alpha 3.7, still a very early version of the space game Star Citizen. However, this version introduces a number of interesting elements.
These make the MMO even more exciting and bring the title a step closer to beta and a potential release.
A comprehensive update
What features does the update bring? In addition to bug fixes and improvements to AI and the character editor, seven new features stand out:
- Caves – You will find extensive cave systems on the planets that you can explore.
- Mining – With a laser, you can mine resources in these caves. This means resource extraction is now also possible outside of spaceships.
- The “Quantum Enforcement Device” – The new ship RSI Mantis is capable of pulling other ships from quantum space or preventing them from jumping into quantum space. This likely leads to interesting pirate scenarios.
- Inventory – Your character can now collect items and carry them in an inventory.
- New map for Star Marine – You face the Outsiders, who have overrun a factory around terraforming on the planet Leir II. With a squad of Marines, you attempt to reclaim the facility.
- Mission sharing – It is now possible to complete missions together in a group and share the rewards.
- Renting ships – You can now not only buy ships with in-game currency, but you can also rent them. This allows you to test fly ships that you might not be able to afford or want.
The community is excited
How is Alpha 3.7 received? The Star Citizen community is excited about the current update. It has simply brought many features that players have wished for, which also have significant impacts on gameplay.
- kungli writes on Reddit: “Finally! Yaaaaaa!”
- Lolloneee said: “Renting ships is not so bad. Combined with mission sharing, you can farm a lot with friends, and the mines yield enough money. It’s fun!”
With Alpha 3.7, some fans believe Star Citizen makes a significant leap forward.
What about a release or a beta? There are still no statements regarding the release or a beta of Star Citizen.
