In Pokémon GO the World Championship event starts. Especially in the Battle League, a lot is happening this weekend.
When does the event run? The start of the WM event is on Friday, August 15 at 10:00 AM. It runs until Sunday, August 17 at 8:00 PM.
The occasion is the World Championship taking place this weekend in Anaheim, USA. Accordingly, the event in Pokémon GO is all about battling.
What bonuses does the event bring? Some of them are ones you should use a lot in the Battle League. But not all!
- Pikachu in a college jacket appears for the first time, also as Shiny. You can find it in raids and in research.
- The Shiny chance for this Pikachu is increased.
- You can perform up to five special trades per day.
- If you catch Lapras, it knows Ice Beam.
- If you evolve Rasaff, it learns the move Wrath Fist.
- If you evolve Epitaff, it also learns the move Wrath Fist.
- If you evolve Suelord, it learns the move Multiple Strikes
- These four Pokémon are all useful in the Battle League!
- There are more Pokémon encounters as a reward in the Battle League.
- A new stadium is active in the Battle League.
Additionally, in the Battle League from Friday, 00:00 to Sunday, 23:59 the following bonuses are active:
- Four times Stardust for victories in the PvP League.
- You can play a total of 100 battles per day.
- There is a limited research that gives you rewards related to the Battle League. There are also new shoes for your avatar included.
- You will receive more varied values for Pokémon rewards from the Battle League.
