In Pokémon GO today the last event before the big GO Fest 2025 starts. Some legendary monsters are waiting for you.
What kind of event is this? The event “Heritage of the Ancients” starts on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM and runs until Friday, June 27, 2025, at 8:00 PM. It ends just before the big GO Fest 2025, which takes place on June 28 and 29, 2025.
The current event brings you a whopping 6 legendary monsters that you can challenge and collect. And you have several options to obtain them.

Which legendary Pokémon are available? Each day of the event features legendary Pokémon that also have exclusive attacks:
Monday, June 23, 2025:
- Regirock with charged attack Earthquake
- Regice with charged attack Thunder
- Registeel with charged attack Flash Cannon
Tuesday, June 24, 2025:
- Regieleki with charged attack Thunder Cage
Wednesday, June 25, 2025:
- Regidrago with fast attack Fire Breath and charged attack Dragon Powers
Thursday, June 26, 2025:
- Regigigas with charged attack Crush Grip
Friday, June 27, 2025:
- All monsters from the previous days
All legendary monsters can also appear as Shiny with some luck.
Which monsters are in the raid hours? The legendary monsters available on the respective days will also have a raid hour. This occurs each day from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Time-limited research: There is also time-limited research in the event. To complete this, you need to win a total of 6 raids successfully. As a reward, you will encounter one of the legendary monsters. For completing the research, you will also receive 5 candies for each of the legendary Pokémon.
After completing the research, you can choose one of the legendary monsters. You will then receive an additional encounter with that Pokémon as well as an XL candy of that monster. Afterward, the research resets and you can complete it again.
How often it can be repeated is not known.
Event bonuses: During the event, the following bonuses will also be active:
- Remote raid limit increased to 30 (until June 26, 2025)
- Remote raid limit lifted (from June 27, 2025 until the end of the GO Fest)
- one guaranteed XL candy when trading (for trainers from level 31)
- Event stickers from PokéStops and gifts
Global challenge: A global challenge started shortly before the event begins. Here, all trainers worldwide must win a total of 3,000,000 raids. If this is successful, the following bonuses will be activated:
- Premier balls have an increased chance to catch defeated raid monsters
- Team power charges faster
The bonuses apply not only to the current event but will also be active during the GO Fest 2025.
Gigantamax battles: During the event, there will also be 3 Gigantamax monsters that you can challenge and catch in battles. These include Gortrom, Liberlo, and Intelleon in their Gigantamax forms.
Paid research: For €8.99 you can additionally purchase a ticket. This unlocks a research in which you will receive a meeting with a Meikro and with Zapdos, Articuno or Moltres in their respective Galar forms, along with some items. You can choose which of the 3 legendary Galar birds you encounter.
Additionally, there are also 3 candies and 2 XL candies for the monster you selected, corresponding to the respective bird.
