The last of these 3 challenges has now successfully ended, unlocking the last reward in the form of guaranteed XL candies. However, you must hurry to collect these, as the event only runs until Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 08:59 AM.
Guaranteed XL candies and other bonuses
How do I get the XL candies? The most interesting bonus is certainly the guaranteed XL candies. To receive these, you must evolve a Pokémon. If you do this, you will receive 2 guaranteed XL candies for the respective Pokémon.
So if you still have appropriate Pokémon to evolve, you should take advantage of this opportunity. Since XL candies are hard to obtain and you need a lot of them to bring your Pokémon to the maximum level, this is a good chance to scoop up a few.
What other rewards are there? Additionally, if you haven’t completed them yet, you should finish the limited-time research tasks. In each of the three researches, you can receive a Pokémon with an accessory in the style of the respective team leader, along with some items.
The Pokémon will additionally have a special background image that matches the respective team. The following Pokémon can be obtained in the researches:
- Ponyta with accessory in the style of Candela* (Defeat 2 Rocket members)
- Elekid with accessory in the style of Spark* (Hatch 2 eggs)
- Lapras with accessory in the style of Blanche* (Complete 2 field research tasks)
You should also hurry with these researches, as they are also only available until the end of the event, and it is uncertain when you will be able to obtain the Pokémon with these accessories again.
