The developers of the renowned cooperative shooter Payday want to expose you to the zombies from the famous comic and TV series The Walking Dead in autumn 2018. You find yourself in Overkill’s The Walking Dead in the city of Washington, D.C., where the outbreak of the zombie epidemic has caused absolute chaos. Everyone is trying to survive – including you. The story begins shortly after the disease broke out, and you must figure out what role the government plays in all of this.
Every hero pursues their own goals
Those who know The Walking Dead know that survival is better in groups, which is why you team up with three other players. Each embodies one of four special protagonists. They all have their own backstories and each pursues their personal goals.
This way, each player experiences their own story, which is intertwined with those of the other heroes. Additionally, the characters can utilize special abilities that help the group and which you can even expand using a skill tree.
